Hi Friends-is anyone taking new MS treatment called Vumerity? If yes, how has your experience been so far? It came out in Fall last year. I started this Treatment today. I was on Tecfidera for over a year and this was the best medicine I’ve been on so far in my 7 years having MS. It reduced my frequent relapses this past year-Had one moderate relapse instead of my usual two. I’ve been on several different forms of treatment since diagnosis-two different types of injectables and two types of infusion therapies. However, my Neurologist advised me to switch to Vumerity, since I was having a lot of digestive problems this past year. My Doc said that Vumerity may be more gentle to the stomach and digestive tract. My dysfunctional gallbladder was biggest culprit to these problems and it was removed recently, so I can’t say it’s all from Tecfidera. For me, Tecfidera caused frequent stomach upset or bloating. Vumerity is made by same company (Biogen) as Tecfidera and has similar ingredients and function. I’m excited to see how this new Tx works for me. It’s a capsule form and for first 7 days, I take a starter dose of 1 capsule twice per day, then increase to full dose of 2 caps twice per day. I will keep you posted.

With the Tecfidera did it cause bloating and weight gain or just bloating?
