No laughing matter here. Perhaps you're thankful that there is a lot of miles between us! Or is there? (Now, that's funny!) Just teasing you, kdali :-D

I look at this site when I’m feeling ok. When I’m feeling awful, I don’t have the energy or desire to drag everyone else down.

RoyceNewton profile image

In that case sis, how about you feel ok and stay that way. you may not get better but do not get worse

I’m on my way to the ER. Due for 1st full ocrevus infusion on Thursday which I won’t be getting because I’m on antibiotics for a severe infection in my abdomen somewhere. Last week, I did three days of Solu-Medrol 1000 mg and it helped until the infection set in. My MS is absolutely roaring. I had an MRI Jan 3rd that showed a new lesion trying to form in my thoracic hence the solumedrol. I’ve felt awful since the middle of December and every day I feel worse.

take care of yourself as best you can, this is a tricksy disease, I heard some benadryl is helpful for Ocrevus infusions

I am so sorry! I’m guessing the good from the steroids was canceled out by the infection 🤦‍♀️ I felt like crap for a few days after Ocrevus, but NSAIDS helped a lot. I can’t imagine an infection in top of that too, yikes!

Your sharing doesn’t drag me down. I really do feel for you and I’m hoping that you turn a corner soon.

I am surviving sleep deprivation so far! Ty! 🙏

No, I check email or Facebook messenger...and the latter I will check a few times per day because that’s how I keep in touch with friends. Usually after that I’m already running behind with daily tasks.

I often lose my phone, and the ringer is off on purpose so no one sleeping gets disturbed by robocalls. I never look at anything on my computer unless I’m doing something with files or a website is acting dumb on my phone.

I hate all of it though. I prefer to speak to someone’s face, hear what they have to say and see their expressions. I don’t even like FaceTime, it’s weird to me. I’d very much rather visit MSAA’s version of Cheers than be holding my dumb phone! Call me Norm 🤣

However, if it’s been a while and I have not checked in to see how everyone here is, it a lot of work, so I try to not be absent for a long time. “Work” meaning work of love, there are several here I think of often and care very much for, so being off for two weeks means a lot of scrolling the posts.

If I post something, I try to remember to check in after so many hours because I feel it’s terribly rude to “dump your purse out” or ask for help and then ignore everyone putting forth an effort to be helpful. It’s hard for some of our members to respond or make a post.

Glad you are here on the daily!

face to face and a human voice, always good things, I suppose though this is the best that we can do.

kdali profile image

Yes it is, and I’m so glad we can connect with others all over the world who are thriving or struggling with this disease. I never chatted with another MS person outside of work until 3 weeks ago...but here I have plenty to learn from.

I look at it every day. I get the group emails. In other words I get a batch of all the days emails as a list once a day. I'm generally behind a day on them but I don't find that a problem.
