We don't get the extremes here like I always had in Illinois, but my kids and grandkids sent me pictures of all the snow they've been getting. People in the valley here lose their minds if we get 2 inches of snow on the valley floor. However, we could travel less than an hour in about any direction and get all the snow we could want, as measured in feet.

Midgey_Midge06 profile image

Where is this valley?

greaterexp profile image
greaterexp in reply to Midgey_Midge06

Southern Oregon. We do get high temps in the summer, but, as always, it's not the heat; it's the humidity!

Midgey_Midge06 profile image
Midgey_Midge06 in reply to greaterexp

Ya humidity is killer. I live in the armpit of hell. Aka east texas. Which is y i am surprised it went from 70 to 20 so fast! And its gonna rain. πŸ”«

Wow! Feast or famine! Do the sudden changes in temperature or humidity affect your MS?

This morning in the Charleston South Carolina area started at about 68 degrees and has dropped ever since. Right now it's about 44 and expected to get as low as 27-28. They just said on local news that the record low for this time of year is 29 and that was set in 1944 for this time of year! So much for global warming!πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ I'm originally from Michigan, I know what cold is...though people from Canada and Alaska might disagree.

At the moment, here in the U.K. it’s 37*f, cold and wet, wet, wet. People are being evacuated out of their homes, due to flooding. The world has gone crazy 😜

It was 7 degrees, wind chill zero yesterday here in Missouri! Last year when I moved here, it was 63 almost everyday in December! Who knows? Where we are moving in Kansas it is already an icebox. Lovely. Bundle up everyone. Love, Kelly

Aaah yes, woke up this morning to 20 degree temps, inbox and vmail were filled with "what do I do if the water in my radiator froze?" What do I do with a leaking pipe that froze in the wall, my puppy just went to take a whiz on the fire hydrant and he is now frozen to it.

All of them got one answer: Read how to survive in the North. The secondaries were:Buy a new car, call a plumber after shutting off the water, and finally, you puppy will come home in the spring.

They were so busy I didn't hear back from them! It's an NC Southern thing.
