You ROCK!!!! You got this. Tingling/nerve pain down my arm and fingers for me turned out related to my neck c5-c6. (I say too much rocking and banging my head...LOL) Blessings Cynthia
Donβt like the sound of that Jes. If you donβt have it without the neck brace but then as soon as you put it on, I would say the brace is causing your nerve to pinch. Call them and let them know. Congratulations on the no smoking, knew you could do it πππ
Congratulations on the no-smokingππππ! That's harder to do than the surgery! I watched my hubby going thru this. sitting outside, bent over with his head in his hands. Me telling him he needs the surgery. Strong stubborn man! Finally, he felt so much better with in weeks after the surgery.. You sound like him, Jes.. Be careful, try to take it easy.
when I quit smoking,I did it cold turkey and my dr told me"if you can quit smoking, there is nothing, and I mean nothing you can't do.....you can do it ,18 days yay!
Good job! You have passed the halfway point! It's down hill from here (watch for trees :-)) Did you talk to a nurse or the Dr? The Dr needs to know the brace makes it worse. We went through all that with my husband a few years ago. He is so much better after surgery.
Normally there are not many options with stenosis. It normally will get worse. A pain dr can give you injections where the damage is to kill the pain or can cauterize the nerve (burn it) to kill the pain. I have had both in my lower back because I can't have surgery due to degenerative bone disease. They both work for a while but after a few months it wore off & the pain was worse. I would have the surgery right now if I could.
So proud of you Jesmcd2 Keep up the great work! As others have suggested, if you have tingling with the brace on, call your doctor. They may have something else that will work better for you. Keep us updated
Congratulations π on quitting smoking! Don't ever have a cigarette again - you would be right back at smoking. My husband quit 30 years ago, and he says he still wants a cigarette today. So be strong!
