I love to read but I can't afford to buy them. I learned that Goodreads has giveaways for books every day. I have won quite a few myself. Go to browse then giveaways. I wanted to share for other book lovers. I even have won two for my daughters birthday. I figured if I can't get her a gift card then she would at least have some books. Too bad my boys hate reading.

Thanks for this. I go to library book sales as well.
My husband picked up a copy of "Dune" at a community book sale that turned out to be worth a few $
Thank you for the great reminder. I signed up a long time ago, but haven't looked at the site for ages. It sounds terrific!
Hi mbrooks20 ! If you like reading on a tablet or ereader, this link will take to a website where you can get low cost or sometimes free ebooks. bookbub.com/welcome
I had to stop getting them for awhile because I have so many I have not read yet!
Thank you for sharing!!
Wow! Iβve never run a goodreads giveaway. I will keep trying...
free is great!!!There is just something about holding a book and newspaper in your hands
mbrooks20 If you go onto archive.org you can find almost every book you ever wanted to read for FREE! You can search by title or author and pull up everything! The website is a bit cumbersome because it has so many things there, but they have enough to keep you reading forever! Ir may not have the latest and greatest on the market, but it has all the others! I have read some in a series of books, but was missing a few, so I was able to read them online and complete the full series. Keep reading!
There is also another site that I get emails from that offer low cost or free books. I have a kindle so I download them here: daily.ereaderiq.com/
I have gotten a couple through them. I used to work PT at an independent bookstore. They would get ARC's (Advance Reader Copies) for free. Employees were encouraged to read them and therefore be able to recommend books to shoppers. I worked with a bunch of very young people who didn't like the same books as I do so they would leave, what I called the good ones, so I would take them home. Sometimes I would get boxes! When we moved last year I had to read the backs of all those books and try to figure out which ones would I really read. The rest I got rid of. I still have a HUGE box of books I have not read. I will read one and if I love it, I keep it. Otherwise I pass it on.
Many books are available online free through Project Gutenberg.
