Finally have appointment

I am scheduled in mid-October for my appointment at the MS Center at OHSU in Portland. Oh, me of little faith!

I was tested for patience, but came up negative. Ha! Actually, I'm usually pretty patient. It's just that so many things slip through the cracks at all of my doctors' offices, so I usually have to make a few calls to keep things rolling. I had begun to wonder if I would have to make a 3th call, after finding out they had forgotten, necessitating the first two calls. It happens.

It's frustrating to find the line between being persistent or a pest! Lately, I have found that being a persistent pest is the way to go

I'm not sure what this new neurologist will recommend. My regular neurologist was having second thoughts about whether Ocrevus was the best choice for me, so she recommended I get another opinion from OHSU, especially since she doesn't have many MS patients.

Wonderful! I am so envious! OHSU is such a great place (grew up in Portland) and they are doing an MS drug study that I had emailed my Neurologist about and he said "let me know if the mice survive" - if it comes up, might you ask?

Thank you so much. I will try to remember to ask about studies. Do you remember the specifics? It seems as though no one wants to do studies on old people, as in 60 or older. This guy should know all about any that I might fit.

I unfortunately don't remember the specific study but they were starting Phase 2 of the study, I'll try to find the email that I sent my neuro.

There are some great doctors up there. Dr Frederick I saw her during her internship. Unfortunately I had the WORST doc there. She is no longer practicing. But I do know there great ones there. I now have a local neurologist who is verdict still out on. I might go back up there. Good luck with your visit up there. Where you from greaterexp? I live in Salem area. Dpjinx
