Sorry the glare is so bad. I was commissioned to do this cow. It was a tough one to do. Buttons and fairly standard colors so it was next-to-impossible to get the wood colors right.

Holstein in buttons

Your title had me picturing a cow in a button-up sweater, but I quickly realized it was you posting another of your fantastic pictures! Wonderful work!
mrsmike9 very good. It's even better when you look at it away from you. Well done. Blessings Jimeka ๐ฆ ๐ ๐
WOW!!!
@mrsmike9buffering
Awesome! ๐
This button art is really neat.
Youโve inspired me to try my hand at it. Thank you!! I think it would be a lot of fun and very relaxing. Of course, mine would be much simpler! I started collecting small bags of buttons. Amazon has some that arenโt too expensive. Not sure when Iโll get time to sit down and start a project, but Iโm building my supplies! ๐ when I do get to it, and if it is halfway decent, Iโll share a pic with you. Thanks again!
Please do share photos! I started small as well and did an extremely simple one of a horse for my daughter. I have gotten a lot of buttons from people at my church and purchased ones from folks that post on Facebook. You can get some really interesting, antique ones that way plus ones that have interesting shapes. My cow has a basket and a bow on him! I've started collecting (slowly) some "found" objects. Any little plastic bits that might be used. Google Jane Perkins for inspiration. She is way better than anything I could ever do, but I still find her art inspiring. You can get clear glass jars at Goodwill to sort your buttons by color which will be easier as you work. I have another batch that I must sort and clean out threads and wires from so I can get started on another. Keeps me busy and out of trouble! Have fun!
Fun fun fun
Hey, I like to upcycle used glass food jars. I have โchaulkโ paint in pastels for painting the metal lids and then embellish the lid with a plastic rosette which is painted in a contrasting chaulk paint. Iโm not a recycling freak, but these little projects make me happy. Lol.
Pleas post a picture of this. I'm trying to visualize but my imagination isn't going there... Nom_De_Plume
When my little brothers were little, their box of crayons left out in the sun melted in the box lid. It was beautiful and hung in our kitchen for yrs.
You never know where art will spring up ๐
You are so very talented. Beautiful.
Always love your work. Contrast is everything on something like that. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. Now I gotta show my newest quilt. These are the things that keep us going.
You did a beautiful job, mrsmike9 ! I always enjoy seeing what everyone here enjoys doing and creating. ๐
@mrsmike9buffering That's very creative. Good job.
