Where I am in Illinois on my side of town there hasn't been any flooding but in the suburbs there was. A lot of my friends had to find alternate routes home. But the areas that were really hit hard was the rural areas you wouldn't had known that those area was used for something else due to the water rising.

My daughter in Central Illinois reported a tornado, but it missed them, only taking down a tree limb from high winds.

so glad it missed them! I lived through a bad one in alabama in 2011 you don't forget that

We had a tornado that was heading this way but landed northeast of us. Did some devastating damage.

Northern Indiana. We had 3 tornados to the west of us, then 2 to the east of us. Missed us, praise God!

In New Jersey, tornadoes are very rare. I live on the border with Pennsylvania and several funnel clouds and tornado warnings were issued but the damage was minor. Of course, if it hit your house, nothing is minor.

I was thinking of you all and trying to send helpful thoughts over. The weather hasn't exactly been wonderful here but I do appreciate how much worse it can be for others. :-)

We have a lot of flooding just north of us. The Arkansas River has crested & a few levees have breached.

I don't know which is worse the wind or water in a tornado, both are real bad, flooding so dangerous, you got it too close for comfort
