Just finished up another painting it's oil on canvas 16 by 20 I called this one "Gotcha!"I used to be this guy out in the outdoors. Now instead of fighting the outdoors I'm fighting MS and painting memories it helps a lot.

Isn't that a wonderful idea? Using art to express beautiful memories!
Did you paint this from memory? Itβs incredible if you did. I still canβt get over your ballerina. Well done, keep at it, Blessings Jimeka π¦
Lovely painting! Did you catch something delicious that day?
Love your memories
Nice job!
Your painting is fabulous. I also reminded me of my youth on a much smaller river, catching crawdads. When I was older, learning to fish for Rainbow Trout. Learning to fly fish, all with my Daddy. He was so proud of me when I started tying my own flys when I was just a little girl. Not a Tomboy, just an mountain girl through and through! Thank you for posting! I do hope you consider sending in an entry to the MSAA MS Ability Art Showcase when it opens this fall. You have great talent!
mhansenm1, I am lucky to draw a straight line and envy anyone who can paint like you!
what talent, keep on painting and remember only good memories
Wonderful painting! Thank you for sharing your memories..
Nice, very nice. I love the colors you have chosen and the symbolism of peace and beauty. I you hope are deriving as much pleasure from your work as we do seeing it.
I, too, am an artist. I find doing my paintings as often as possible to be incredibly tension relieving and I really, really like to see people's happiness when they get one of my paintings. So, besides that, I love to create anything fully realizing "I" do not do it. Everything "I" do is but a reflection of my brain's interactions with the universal All. It is so fulfilling to feel that connection. I don't know where a person's spiritual center is. I just do NOT want this SPMS (I usually just abbreviate it to PMS because of the SS of SPMS are so similar in many ways) to cause me to lose it. If it does there will be little of "me" left of an already increasingly hollow shell capable of doing recognizable effort.
Recently I was juried in a gallery and will be able to show and sell my art there. The little money I might be able to make will be incredibly helpful .
Yes I understand what you're saying completely. I used to be an avid outdoorsman and now I'm stuck in a wheelchair. My Ms has taken that part of my life away from me and I've been fighting it for many years. But my last occupational therapist challenge me to paint and it seems like it has given me part of my life back again. I love the peace and the places that it takes me when I'm painting I feel like I'm enjoying the outdoors again. Thank you for your kind comments I would love to see your paintings.
I admire you for continuing to paint with SPMS. I have SPMS too. I used to paint but find it is so much more difficult now. Trouble concentrating and getting the paint on where it's "s'posed" to be. Maybe I just expect too much of myself now. Your painting is lovely and I too like "painting memories"
Feel peace and beauty.very nicely done.
