So as the title explains, my legs an I have been in a constant battle. I believe it’s spasticity whose responsible for this madness!
I now have a 4 legged walker whose is my bff!
I’ve been rather lazy lately but I usually go for a daily walk around my development with my kids and I don’t fight my legs as much but since I haven’t been walking a lot my legs have been my enemy!😫

Are you taking anything to help with your spasticity?Though the years I've used baclofen, tizanadine, diazepam and most recently am having success with CBD oil.
I'm a believer in the adage use it or lose it. My house is on the top of a small hill. The mail and paper boxes are on the road below. So every day I walk to the road to get the mail and paper. When it is cool, it is not too difficult but when it is hot and sunny, my legs become leaden and heavy. Then I must force my legs to move and use determination to get up the hill. It still surprises me how hard that is sometimes. When packages are delivered, usually late afternoon, they are left at the gate at the bottom. To bring those up, I take a small nursery wagon with me. It is sometimes a struggle to get up towing a heavy box, but I can do it if I walk a few steps, rest, and continue. One neighbor told me to call her for help, another suggested I drive down, but because I am sure the day will come when I can't do for myself, I want to do all that I can for as long as I can even when it is very hard. I know how hard it must be for you to take a walk with your rollator, but know every step you take shows the world and your children your courage, your strength, and your determination. What a hero you must be in your children's eyes!
Hi Goatgal and Lyssi458. You have articulated exactly what we all must do. Increment by increment, we move on. I am sure not one of us ever thought we'd be "like this". But we are and we cope. That, by the way, is exactly why I am growing to love HealthUnlocked!! The stories of love, courage and sticktoitiveness are inspiring.
Amen. Here, each of us fully understands the struggles we have to live in the many ways we once took for granted. This is also why it is so exquisitely emotionally painful when those we love tell us that we could do more if we only tried harder, or when some white coated doctor cannot hear what we are trying to explain.
I agree.... healthinlocked has become a second family.
When I was diagnosed back in September 2018 I didn’t know what to do or who to turn to online just scared of you so you were always hesitant to Google your symptoms. But here it’s a safe haven and you get so much advice. I love e it ❤️
I know that feeling oh so well my legs also work against me.
