I woke up this morning and my right arm hurt. A week or so ago it was my left arm the doctor told me I need to go get checked for muscular skeletal problems first cuz it did not sound like Ms. WTF is that. Every time I tell the doctors that something is bothering me they tell me that it can't be the MS and I have to go get my doctor to look at me and do tests to move them out I don't understand.

Today is bad
I have pain in upper arm, weakness and I do think it is Ms. Now I have pain that shooting in different parts of left arm which is my weak side. I noticed almost like a lump or inflammation years ago. I know Ms started years ago and when I went to Cleveland Clinic the first thing she said was inflammation and underlying issue which I believe is Ms. There is also a good chance of my poor genetic spine makeup. I continue to search for specialists since I don't have confidence in medical professionals. Stay hopeful and well. Thanks
How did you like the Cleveland clinic? Did you go in Cleveland or in Florida?
Florida
Are these clinics better than the average? Planning on retiring in Florida, sick of this weather.
It is really hot down here we don't get a lot of cool days I don't know what's better anymore Medicaid sucks
At least you have sunshine, and you can take advantage of it when you stay home (and I don't go anywhere anyway). And our property taxes are insane. Not mentioning them taxing social security benefits.
I had symptoms since 2002. I was only told PT and pain management since it was left leg and feet. I then was told old injury, gene makeup. All was put on hold until surgery on cervical. I then moved to Florida. As a CNA I saw many doctors with clinics. You have to look up doctors but I was blessed to find the right one in Florida. She since then went to private practice. I get frustrated but found the right one. Traveling is hard but I am willing if they are specialists. Be patient peace.
My husband and I are planning on retiring in Miami. I saw a Cleveland Clinic nearby. Do you know if this is a good place? Thank you.
I go to the college and see the MS specialist but obviously they don't know nothing
The doctors practice this thing that is called medicine. Stay strong and hopeful that they will soon find out what ails you. Let them know that if they say something that you do not understand, ask them to explain it for you. After all, you are not a doctor.
Hi Jackjosh ! I understand your frustration. The truth is that there are lots of things that mimic MS and some that overlap. MS is complicated yet not always the cause of a symptom. When we already have one autoimmune disease we are at high risk for others. I’m being tested for thyroid problems now. I also messed up my neck in my last bad fall. My PCP did xrays at my request and sent those along to my neuro. She did that so if I complain about pain or numbness in my arms or hands, he won’t go to MS as the cause straight away.
I thought the pain in my lower back and hip (radiating down that leg) was from MS, but actually I have a vertebrae that's tipped. Therapy and chiropractic helped a lot!
Before I was diagnosed with MS, I thought all of my gait issues were due to my degenerated discs. I guess not. I was lucky that the doctor I saw thinking it was my back also happened to specialize in MS.
they want u 2 go 2 a pain management dr.
No I think my primary has 2 but I would rather smoke marijuana then be on pain pills so I deal with the pain plus smoking the marijuana helps me in some ways to it hurts me also in some other ways
