Here is a display of my bigger or the fact that I'm streamly proud of. I created the display rack myself. My husband never wants to be involved in my projects because he says he has enougyh of its own! To that I Say bah humbug! But it makes me become creative and I usually come up with something rather spectacular! Then I took hard green dense craft foam and I whittled it to fit each individual artifact piece. Once it displayed the artifact piece that I wanted on it, I simply painted the foam black to match the display rack. I think it turned out rather well and I'm very proud of what I created. I added the old looking horse bookends on the top as accents and even that gives it a touch of class that I'm very proud of. Hope you enjoy it looking at it as much as I did creating it and looking at it everyday. Fancy.

To feel everybody in I'm going to tell you what's on the display rack starting from the top Center you have a war axe for tomahawk. Going to the second row Center you have a small clay pipe that looks yellowish in the photo and next to it is a large grinding tool that was used to grind up corn and berries Etc to add to recipes. On the third row the two end caps so to speak or starting from the left a second Tomahawk or war axe that has very sharp points and looks to be very deadly when used. Across the bottom on the floor right third row sitting up is a bowl scraper used to create those by scraping the bark and shaping the wood to the shape needed for a bow. Next to that sitting just a slight bit lower is a small grinding tool setting in a mortar base. This would grind up smaller items that were needed for medicine Etc. Then on the very bottom row you have a celt which is a tool that can be used as a spray for or against a knife or weapon. Next to it to the right is a Rock chisel that was used to Pride things open. And then lastly on the very far right bottom is a small collection of for Arrowhead flints that I added to the small space that was left. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. Come on everybody let's share our Hobbies with each other. That's my challenge to you. We have a lot of creative people in this chat room in many share their quilts and knitted / crochet items but there has to be other Hobbies out there we're missing. Come on, dig them out and let's share them!

You have a lot of artifacts here on display. What I find most interesting is the manner in which you have displayed them. What an ingenious way that you have accomplished that! You truly are gifted! :-D

That looks really cool. When I first saw the picture I thought the display was made either of wood or some kind of metal. You blew me away when you said it is just painted green foam!!

I love the horse head book ends. But I like all things horses😁

Peruzzot, what I carved out of styrofoam was the individual holders to set the artifacts up on to display them properly. It was the craft green dense foam that they use in flowers a lot. It's easier to carve and shape then the white foam. After I carved the bases for display purposes, that's what I painted black so they match the Shelf. The actual shelf itself is made of wood and it was some cheap little two separate shelves that I picked up at a local Five and Dime Store. Then I figured out a way to make them go together and then got the wood glue out and made them one unit. I love to take things that are of little or no value and re design them so they turn into something special. I used to paint and use pastels quite a bit but I haven't done that for years now I do more craft look like the shelves in the display rack that you saw here. Glad everyone's enjoying it. I don't know why I didn't think about sharing it sooner. Fancy.

Hi Fancy - I really enjoyed seeing your project! Everything looks just right where you placed them. It was fascinating to read your post about what each item was used for - kind of like visiting a museum! And the horse bookend were the perfect touch! I look forward to seeing more of your creations! -Elaine
