Me too. Tetris and hidden objects and find the difference between 2 pictures. Angry birds is another game that forces you to find strategies to take out the piggies.

I read, I write. I am currently in graduate school, working on my Master's in English and creative writing. I also do crossword and jigsaw puzzles. sudoku, find the hidden item games, and other strategy games.

I never had, and still have no patience for games that I might be able to try and keep my mind sharp (sharp, yeah that's a joke these days). I never had time for anything but important work issues my whole working life, always pushing the limits of what one could do. When I played, I had to do so vigorously, as play time was very limited, if at all.

Within only a few years of starting my working career, I ran a manufacturing plant in a foreign country with over 500 employees reporting to me, and I was the one responsible for what it took to get things done. Redesign product, manufacturing methods, people management....whatever it took, all essential to the job. Now I use all the m.s. post-it methods, including many actual post-its of which I still have a very large amount left over from one of my business advertising promotions where we had cubes of post-its printed with our company name and logo. They are gold! My phone (super portable computer) and computer lists and alarms, check lists, check lists, check lists. I used to do it all in my head, or my day-timer (again, a blast from the past). I ran 2 businesses quite well this way. Yes we had many, many file cabinets, as well as the newest computers, all to stay fully organized. Although there is no way I could ever do what I did thanks to M.S., trust me I tried, for way too long, till even my doc's and doc's all started telling me so. I've developed interests I may have had back when, but never had the time. I've taken up cooking, and enjoy it, since I can no longer think of doing ..........., well, all the things I spent my life doing. So now I research recipies, not just looks like something I would like to make, but, using this, not that, and using these methods, not those. Checking comments... As an ex-engineer,.... that part of me keeps going. Okay, I need a calculator to do simple math these days. My scientific calculators.....well they wouldn't do me any good these days. What the heck would I need to know the value of xxxx? What is xxxx? I kind of remember....? But really, math an engineer often uses to design or evaluate....yeah, that's all gone.

These days I spend a lot of time making things easier for me. Example, I like to container garden, but don't have the energy to do much any more. So in spring, I rig up a mini-irrigation system to water all the containers, all on times, and auto fertilize every so often.... So, the amount of effort needed to do so is minimal, and is not dependent on how I'm doing... It can go weeks without attendance.

I research interests more than I could ever hope to attempt and actually try them....and file everything to my computer, as otherwise, it would be lost in this no longer efficient brain of mine. Thank god computers have come so far from the days when personal computers were those things you had to program using computer languages. You wanted an app, you had to write one, as I often did, because they just didn't exist back then. I went to U of I Champaign in the days when there was a building dedicated as the university computer, one that even the Defense Department Used in Earlier Years. Punching stacks of key cards to input data, to write tiny programs.... If it weren't for computers... Okay Google,....where did I leave my keys? Ask Alexa??? Okay, Alexa.... But keeping up with all that is...well getting really scary. From the guy who figured out how to turn on the heat in my "vacation home" a state away so it was warm when I got there, back in the days when that stuff didn't exist. Now, it's everywhere. Today, I can look out my front door from another country to see what the weather's like!

I completely understand what you’re saying. It’s hard when you have to give up what you love.
