I received an email about a week or so ago saying MI cards were being mailed out. Mine arrived today so now I have to remember to bring it with to my next Dr. appts πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

Has anyone else received their new cards yet?

I have mine and take it every doctor appt. When I first got mine it had my Social Security number on it, The new one I received a few months ago has letters on it so no one can use it without memorizing it. PHEW!

We received ours quite a few months ago. I don't like that it instructs you to tear up your original card.. I hope I don't have to remember all the new digits.. I made a photocopy and put in Safe deposit box. I do hope it helps avoid Identity thefts and keeps our info much more secure.

I don't think you will have to remember the digits of the card like any other medical card. It was just easier to remember because it has our ssn on it which is very unsecure. I shredded my old care right after I put the new card in my wallet.

brxmom There's a schedule for the staggered mailings somewhere. Mine arrived in August or September.

The Medicare website used to have a map up on their website of the mailings but I think maybe the last batch has gone out?
