Hey All, I am wondering if anyone has switched from private insurance to medicare, who is taking Ocrevus? Secondly wondering how it went with medicare picking up coverage? Thanks Robert " bent bikeguy" PS I will try to have another more humorous post office reflection post soon, a lot going on with this transition)

Medicare?
I had no problems switching from BCBS to Medicare, but that was 6 years ago so things may have changed also I believe it depends on which plan you pick. I am currently taking Ocrevus which is covered by Medicare. Good luck.
I switched two years ago and had no problem with Medicare actually was better than expected 🤞🏼 Part of it depends on your supplement policy and drug coverage. I have a lady that does nothing else but Medicare and supplements and she gets paid by government for helping out, didn’t cost me anything and she was great at explaining and finding coverage and price’s 👍🏼😉
My only advice is stay away from advantage plans and go straight Medicare with a supplement and prescription drug plan (VA if you are a vet) if you can afford to do so. In my opinion Joe Nameith should be ashamed of himself.
I have BCBS Advantage Plan. It covers everything at a reasonable price. Ocrevus falls under part B in medicare & not under the drug plans. I also had help from Ocrevus that paid for most of it that my insurance didn't pay for.

To enroll in Medicare you have to be 65 or diagnosed disabled, after two years, disabled you are automatically enrolled in Medicare. Medicare Part B covers some infusion therapies Ocrevus is one of them.
I already had a Medicare Advantage plan when I switched to Ocrevus. Aetna pays 80% and Ocrevus pays the other 20% if you make less than $75,000 a year.
