Well here I am with another question. I hope you're not getting tired of me forever asking you guys questions. Since Remeron is out for me what about Wellbutrin? Is anybody here taking it. Does it work and does it have any intolerable side effects?

Wellbutrin (bupropion) is a stimulating antidepressant. Good for someone that feels lethargic but can increase anxiety. Lowers the seizure threshold. So not great choice if history of seizures. Can cause headache but that typically goes away with use. Can cause insomnia. Take in am. Can cause slight weight loss, and may increase libido.
Affects dopamine neurotransmitter so can ease RLS.
Thanks Erash, I'm having second thoughts. I've lost over 25 lbs in the last 8 mos and don't want to take anything that would cause me to lose more weight. I didn't need to lose any weight and now I'm pretty skinny. I don't know, I'm such a ninny when it comes to any new drugs. Maybe I'm not miserable enough, lol.
That's good advice. I just started Provigil for fatigue this morning. If I can feel stronger maybe that'll be enough for me. If not I'll reconsider the Wellbutrin. Thanks so much for writing. Everybody on this site is so helpful.
I was on it for years and my Dr. added Cymbalta (spelling sucks) and I quit both of them, they just didn't seem to do anything. I'm not on anything at the moment. and I feel the same.
I use Wellbutrin. I tried to lower the dose but got crabby and moody. I didn't even know I was feeling depressed until I started using Wellbutrin. My wife sure noticed.😁
Never a bother. This site is here for us to lean on one another and learn and share. Unfortunately I do not have an answer for this particular question, but I do wish you all the best. Have a great day!
I tried it to quit smoking yeas ago and it made me feel like a zombie so quit it after 5 days. I take Zoloft for depression and it works wonderfully me. When I was DXED with MS they tried to put me on Wellbutrin and I told them to go jump off a bridge. They relented and gave me Zoloft.
I would like to take Zoloft too but it's bad for my RLS. That's the trouble when you have many health problems. Some good drugs can't be taken because they would exacerbate existing problems. Thanks for your response.
