I had my flu shot couple weeks ago and did fine👍. My wife did hers at same time and felt bad and aching and flu symptoms for day and then better. Hope things get better soon 🙏👍🐾🎃 Ken

Hello Jackjosh,

Could this reaction to the flu shot be a result of you bring on Ocrevus? I think that either kdali or erash had a post questioning the right timing of receiving a flu shot while on Ocrevus not too long ago. Please let your doctor(s) know of your reaction. I will keep you in my prayers that you feel better soon. I am currently contacting my neuro on when/if should I be receiving my flu shot.

Keep Smiling,

Carole :-D

The issue with Ovrevus is O

Works by inhibiting B cells, B cells make antibodies. Flu vaccines make Bcells make antibodies against the flu. So if you are about to get your Ocrevus infusion and got O five or so months ago you can get your flu shot and still make be protected against this years flu. Or if you say are just starting O next month get your flu shot now.

I know you're not supposed to get vaccinations 6 weeks prior to your Fusion

Hi Jackjosh

I have just heard back from my neurologist and they said that planning to get a flu shot for me to be in late November is fine. I had my last infusion late August so 3 months after last infusion, and 3 months prior to next infusion is what is recommended, for me anyway. Always consult with your neurologist prior to getting any flu shot.

BTW ~ How are you doing today?

I do not think my headaches are from the flu shot I've been having on before I got the flu shot I'm getting over the cold that the shot gave me but I feel horrible if I could say I'm probably going in a relapse been relapsing for a while
