I started my mentoring/teaching stint last Tuesday. The students were so excited that the class was very chaotic. I brought 7 guitars for the he students to play that had been donated by my friends. 22 students and 7 guitars! This week, I’m supposed to get 4 more from the school I taught in last semester. That will be much better (mathematically). Since I’ve had to stop working, this opportunity has been so rewarding. To be able to pass on some of the skills that keep me sane like song writing and playing music, especially since schools don’t offer this kind of educational programs anymore is great for the students. I don’t want to ramble on, but I’m so enthralled to be able to do this. I still have enough skill to show people how to play even if my chops are all but gone. Since the right side of my body has joined the dark side, I reckon it to playing with a foot😆.
I hope everyone can have an opportunity to spend time with young kids, we have so much to offer.

How thrilling!! It will be a blessing to the kids and will surely be a blessing to you, too. It’s a marvelous experience to watch that lightbulb go on and be a part of that! How kind you are to share your gifts!
CraigS, Bless you for getting your music back to the children who couldn’t have been part of music because of schools. Music is the way to express your self/feelings and it can be a friendship starter. 👍
