I survived the Flea Market
Sounds great both the cobbler and the flea market ππΎπΎπ Ken
The cobbler sounds great. Wish I was there. π
Mary it's fancy using auto type so I'm sorry about the typos cuz I can't read it again very well. Last flea market I got to was about 2 weeks ago and guess what I stole from the flea market, actually stole at a bargain price is what I meant! I picked up a brand new Lane power lift recliner still new with the tags on but missing the power cord. I had Googled ahead and saw that I had places to go to hopefully pick up the power cord without much effort and not too big a cost. Anywho I bought this silly power lift recliner brand new for get this $25! The deal of the century! Then I had to turn around and purchase the power cord and Transpo Ponder or whatever you called for another $20. So I stuck less than $50 in this power chair that's brand new brand new. Now it's not the best quality power chair I've ever seen but it is a lane chair and it should hold up 4 years for me cuz I put it at our weekend place down by Lake Herrington and it will only get weekend use! Now that's the reason I go to flea markets. If you're careful and you take your time and you look through all the stuff you don't need sometimes you find real bargains and gems in the Raw! I love to try your strawberry cobbler as I have never made a strawberry cobbler! I usually either make blackberry cobbler or an apple crisp type dessert.
Sounds wonderful kycmary there is nothing like the taste of fresh fruits and veggies!
I never had strawberry cobbler before π€ it's the same as like, say peach or apple cobbler?

Where in Indiana is the flea market? I live north, in Fort Wayne.
Whites farm in Brookville. Every Wed all year round morning is flea market then an auction about 11 am then cattle auction around 1pm.
Fancy back, Mary. What a small world we live in. My parents used to own a hundred and thirty Acre Farm at Cedar Grove Indiana which if you no lies about 8 miles down the road from Brookville. They lived on the other side of the White Water River from Cedar Grove. They've been gone now for over 5 years and I sure do miss not getting up to Cedar Grove and Brookville as much as I used to. I never made it to the flea market at White Cattle barn and I wish I would have cuz I do enjoy them immensely. On mom like them too so she would have loved to have gone if she knew it was there. Of course when she was still fairly mobile about 8 to 10 years ago it might not have even been in existence! Do you live around Brookville? I didn't realize I had an MS until my mom was on the decline about the last eight nine months that she was alive and I kept my condition from her because I knew it would tear her up if she ever found out I had a chronic illness like MS. Small world huh....ππ
Fancy it has been going on for more than 20 years & it would not have done her much good to tell her about your MS that's for sure. I know when I told my dad & step mom there was dead silence on the phone for a few minutes, we worked it out. I did real good for the first several years except when I was in a flare up 2-3 months beginning to end. Then it started taking longer and longer for it to resolve.
Fancy I live in Northern Kentucky a stones throw from In, approx. 40 - 50 min. from Brookville In.
Mary, I live just west of Lexington Kentucky about 60 minutes south of you. My sister lives in Erlanger which is probably not more than 20 to 30 minutes away from you. And I believe we're getting another Ms sister moving into the area. Will let you know if we hit up that big Flea Market at Richwood ever in perhaps the four of us can spend a day enjoying each other's company. It looks like we're building up quite a pod of good friends here in the Kentucky area. What a terrific thing for all of us to have to fall back on. Again I say oh what a small world it is.
That sounds like a great idea we just need to do it before it gets cold as I have trouble in the cold weather too. Cooler is nice damp is not great and the flea market wouldn't be as much fun. Yeah 20-30 from Erlanger depending on the traffic. Who is our new MS sister moving to this area? Yep it is a small world.
Mary, it's Fancy. The big Richwood Flea Market is heated to some degrees so it shouldn't be a big problem for you. I'm waiting to re-verify on the new Ms sister moving to Kentucky and as soon as I do I'll let you know. Besides the flea market she's planning I believe I'm coming in the middle of next month and another outing I want to do with her is a day at Keeneland race course. Are you in? Would you drive south to come to the races with us? Let me know. Fancy.
I wish we could go. It's a good 2 - 2.5 hours from me. I know I've been that direction many years ago. We camped near there.
This next weekend is an antique tractor show 4 days and a BIG flea market @ Brookville fair grounds. 9/27-9/30 we usually go on Sat. Maybe you could come & spend 1 or more nights in a hotel? That way you could enjoy more like a mini vac. And if not this year then next it has been going on for lots of years.
Mary
Oh, I wish I could!!! I have collagenous colitis and have trouble being away from a bathroom for much. I'm rather trapped at this time.
I am so sorry I hope you feel better soon I am praying for you
I am in my 8th week. There is no known cause or cure. They say that people with autoimmune diseases tend to get it more often. My GI prescribed budesonide which is best to help but since the FDA has only approved it for Chrones, my insurance wouldn't pay for it. So Pepto and fiber drinks and teeny bits of bland food is what I'm trying to survive on. And I thought MS was bad...
Hello mrsmike autoimmune diseases are the pits I have read that there are over 500,000 autoimmune diseases that are called first cousins. Then I read that that if you get one you could possibly get another. I have MS, diabetes & arthritis I hope it stops there.
I'm so glad you had a great time. It's been so long since I've gone to one. They're so much fun.
