I get so discouraged. I'm so tired of reading books and magazines articles that show smiling happy people hiking, playing golf, or climbing mountains That is not MS reality for a lot of us. It is walkers, wheelchairs, and fatigue. Sorry I'm hot and lonely today and the rest of the world is out shopping😡

Mossell, I know how hard it is, i sumtimes envy people who can still walk around, I say, "Enjoy it while it lasts! I wanted to be a nurse, & had to study CNA first, I loced helping the residents, never thought I was going to become one so early on in life, now, i have a new avenue to help out, on here, new way of looking at it, the secret key to our healing, is to be self-less & help to heal othets! It always helps👍💗😘😍😁 Much Love, Prayers🙏& Many Blessings---Jazmine💜🌹Rose
Thank you. I'm hot and lonely today and my pressure sores hurt .
Can you find ways of getting out? Can you use a dial-a-ride service? There are a group of about 20 of us MSers that go to the Orland Park Health & Fitness Center 3 - 4 mornings a week. About 1/2 of that group gets there and back using Pace dial-a-ride. One morning there were 5 busses lined up to pick up everyone from different suburbs.
Sounds like fun
I agree, it doesn't give a realistic picture of what the average person with MS goes thru. I appreciate your thoughts.
I hear you. I'm sick of seeing all those smiling people too that are jogging or even walking around while I'm stuck at home in a wheelchair. They never show what it's really like to be taken down by this disease! They want to make it appear as if it's not that bad for marketing purposes to sell their big pharma drugs.....SHOW THE REAL VICTIMS OF MS!!!!
It is what it is - for whatever reason. I have to think most times "That's not me! but maybe it is accurate for some others even though "That's not me" and I wish it was.
I understand what you’re saying. I wish the media could present more sides of MS. It’s so different for each of us, isn’t it?
You’re with a group here who vary greatly with our symptoms, but can encourage and support one another.
I don't have a walker or wheelchair yet but i suffer the nonstop f-ing fatigue along with occasional vertigo. I go hiking and biking anyway. But the farther i go the slower i get.
