Last night I made myself vulnerable to my husband. I told him I was losing bits of me. So many things seem to be chipping away at my health. The MS, the hip pain that grew to hip & back, that grew to both hips and back, and is now hurting up my spine as well. I've been so incredibly fatigued AND I've had diarrhea (like water) for 12 days! (Called the dr. and they said to take probiotics and do the BRAT diet, plus I'm taking anti-diarrhea pills - not working.) I told him (tearing up) that my health is chipping away and soon there won't be anything left. He just said to hang in there and changed the subject. I wanted him to give me a hug, hold me, comfort me... Apparently it's not his thing....

They don't understand
Oh men. I will give you a hug 🤗 when I first emigrated to Canada, 40 years ago I had the runs for 2 weeks. I was going sometimes 14 times a day. By was my bum sore. Eventually after the camera up by rear, they gave me 1 pill, I couldn’t go for a week. They kept telling me to eat yogurt, well, that made it worse, even a sip of water would set it off. Get to your emergency unit and insist that they do something for you. Don’t wait, get it sorted. Here’s another hug 🤗 for you. Now let us know how you get on when you can, Blessings Jimeka 🦋 🍫 have you tried a tens machine on your hip?
12 days doesn't sound right mrsmike9 🤔 I'm not a Dr. As you know and ~No One Here Is~
But you really should get a second opinion! I would worry about dehydration 😕 So please be safe and Aware!
An I have no comment on the men department at this time. 😒🤣😂
🤗💕 Feel better!

He might have if you had said “shut up and hug me, dummy”. Hang in there 🙄12 days of peeing out of your butt is absurd! I’m sorry 😑 There was a stomach bug in the Midwest, but I think it was a month ago. Maybe you’re late catching it 🤷♀️ I hope you’re able to keep up with hydration.
If it continues, maybe it’s time for a visit to the ER. 12 days- that’s ridiculous. Your electrolytes have to be in danger. Good luck and keep us posted!
Just called my doctor. They said to go to the ER. I only work until 2 so I'll go home after that and wait for my husband to come home, then go. I'm just feeling so weak...
mrsmike, I am SO sorry for you and so worried! You must be dehydrated by now. Plus remember, not everything is ms and you might need some test. Love you, Kelly
Mrsmike9buffering, well do you think hugs and offering Comfort is right up my alley! I wished we lived closer so I could be there but I'm forced to send you hugs to the list electronic connections that are less effective than the real thing. Understand that many at this has been at the same point you are at various times in our battle with MS. Try to keep positive mindset. I know that can be easier said than done when you're feeling bad when you're in pain and you can't get your doctor to understand your dilemma. Are you currently on any type of DMT? If not perhaps you should look into some of the newer ones to try to slow down what seems to be your progression in your disability. I had my first clean MRI this past April that I have had in almost 4 years. There were no new lesions and no enhanced lesions so I feel as if ocrevus is doing a great job.
We are not doctors on this site but having that long a period of diarrhea is very dangerous for your health. Please Don't Let It Go On. If it continues get to the emergency room and demand they give you fluids to help keep you from getting in danger from dehydration. As always you are the best advocate for your help and if you are unhappy or worried about the health care you're getting from your current doctor there is absolutely no reason you shouldn't seek a second opinion. Take care of yourself. Don't listen to your husband get help quickly because diarrhea can be a dangerous thing when it's been going on as long as yours has been. Please let us know what you decide to do and keep us informed of your decisions. I pray your health comes around quickly and you feel better in the very near future. Fancy.
I’m so sorry. I know you’re husband has to face this MS, though it’s in a different way. He’s probably frightened by the changes you’re suffering with, but he can’t process it in the same way you do.
My darling husband is wonderful, but he can only handle so much. That’s why this group is so precious to me. I can vent here without scaring him.
I hope he can give you more support in a more emotional way, but we’re here until then.
Here's the best hug i can give from here🤗.
Most of us here know what you're talking about. With family members not really understanding or responding the way we want them too.
What's the verdict mrsmike9 ?🤔 How are you doing? Are you home yet? Feeling better?
🤗💕

Home and slept pretty well. Blood and urine were fine. They gave me fluids (not an easy thing for any of us because I'm a bad stick and it took 4 tries!) Sent me home and said to double up on the anti diarrhea meds. We will see.
Thank you all.
