Hi everyone, I tested JCV + and I'm due for my 3rd Ocrovus July 3rd. Do I need blood drawn before I go for infusion. I am having spasticity on both legs, and it makes it hard to walk. Please tell me what you use for spasticity and neuropathy nerves pain.

I didn’t need blood drawn but your doctor may want it?

I also have been having problems with my legs but you need to remember we are all different and living in Massachusetts our humidity has been high.

Humidity and me don’t get along.

Good to hear that you will be getting your infusion soon. I've only had Neurontin for my legs. Nothing for spasticity. So sorry I wasn't any help.

Good luck on the 3rd. I get my 3rd round with Ocrevus on June 26. I just hope this round last longer then 4 months it just seems like it's wearing off before it should I hope yours is not doing the same.

Take care. Hope, faith, prayers!

Hello kgomotso36953, from Fancy1959. I am also on ocrevus in and also JC positive. I had my third infusion back in April. Initially after the infusion my specificity went down to about 85 to 90% better. It is slowly creeping back up and it is now probably 40% better than it was prior to the infusion. The questions you're posing to the people in our chat room are better asked to your neurologist. Remember we are not doctors in this chat room so you need to always posed medical questions to your actual neurologist. To give you ideas about what my doctor does I have to always have blood drawn prior to my infusion. Ocrevus to date has shown no issues with PML in the four years it's been used globally by over 40,000 Ms patients or years prior to that during intensive clinical trials. Talk to your neurologist and he or she will give you ideas of what to look for to make sure you don't have any early signs of PML.

Make a log and keep track of all your symptoms, including your spasticity, then set up an appointment with your doctor and talk to them about. That allows them to know exactly what's going on with you and it takes the pressure off of you by trying to remember all the things and issues you face daily. Keep track of your spasticity, too, what sets it off or what and when it was better, Etc. It will help more than you know to keep this log. Until we speak again please take care and remember together we are stronger!

Your neurologist should know about any required lab. I take Baclofen as needed for spasms with some relief. There are others available if the Baclofen doesn't work, but I'd ask your neuro.

I sure hope you get to feeling better quickly.
