I am in the process of moving from NY to Port St Lucie, Fl. I would love to hear from anyone about neurologists in the area. I'm willing to travel about 50 miles to find someone. I'm pretty knowledgable in MS and would love a doctor who is willing to prescribe off label, and newer therapies.

I'm from Atlanta but in recent years moved to the northwest and my MS doc is in Seattle. When I was still in Atlanta I had been going to a neurologist at Emory University that I liked very much, but I asked him to prescribe LDN and he wouldn't. I went to an MS support group meeting where a doctor from the MS Center of Atlanta was speaking, and after his talk I asked him if anyone in his group prescribed LDN. He told me he had a few patients on it, so I left Emory and started seeing him instead. I still get my prescription from a compounding pharmacy in Deerfield Beach, Florida (Skip's). They mix it to Dr. Bihari's specifications. It's been important to me to have a doctor who will give me their best expert advice, but is willing to think outside the box and support my decisions. I appreciate my doctor's education, training and experience, but still - it's all theory until you're living with it. I think there are a few folks on here from Florida. You might also ask the pharmacy in Deerfield Beach. I'm not sure if you have a particular off label prescription in mind, but if a doctor is willing to prescribe LDN for their patient to try, they may be open to prescribing others. Good luck with your search.
