Hi everyone

I just wondered if you have ever felt like this? I put my Xmas decs up yesterday and cleaned a lot of my house and my decking outside. I was tired when I finished but today I feel really tired and legs heavy and wobbly. My balance isn't brilliant and even more so today. I just think i did a bit too much yesterday and im seriously worried about how im going to get back work eventually x πŸ˜•

janetb1968 , I have had that happen often and I know that others in this group have also. It doesn’t happen every time that I work hard but lots of times. Sorry!

Hi janetb1968 . Many of us can relate. At one time, I think it was was Doubled51 named this a "Busted BIscuit Can" day. If I just keep pushing through, too many of these days in a row will send me into an exacerbation. Hope you can get some rest.

Iona60 I’d like to take credit for the Busted Biscuit Can slogan but if my memory serves me right Jimena came up with that one. But I’ve been in the BBC mode for awhile now. Lol.

Doubled51 That's the problem with MS, none of us can remember. My husband sometimes calls me Dorie (from finding Nemo).

janetb1968 hey, you need to rest up. Aren't you going in hospital for a LP and steroid infusion. Let your lovely boyfriend get the house ready for Crimbo. Slow down, relax, and enjoy a break on the NHS. Hope it goes well, and remember to drink lots before the LP. Blessings Jimeka πŸŽ„

janetb1968 just come up the wooden hills to bed after watching Birds of a feather, had a good laugh. Legs feel painful today, grandchildren are down with yet another virus, so having no immunity the nose is running, hot sweats, just another hazard of living with school children. They like to share! Hopefully it will be gone by Christmas. Going to getsomemuch needed shut eye now. Hope that you have a restful night. Blessings Jimeka πŸŽ„

That has happened to me when I was strong and able to get around better. The Dr told me NOT to overdo it because the next couple days are exhausting!! Please try not doing sooo much in one day. It's not easy when you feel good. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this. If I overdo it I'm down for a few days!! My legs are weak A LOT!! Please try and listen to your body!!

Hugs and kisses to you!!

doveflyfree no worries

BBC is not my saying, but it surely describes how I feel sometimes!

We describe it as the "MS Tax" around here. If you "buy" too much today, you pay the "MS Tax" tomorrow!!!

Happy holidays to all... we usually say "Merry Christmakkuh" as it covers a lot of bases!!! :-)

Janetb 1986: I think this is true for most of us. Over doing has an extended payback. On the good note, be thankful for all you can do. Have a Merry Christmas. God Bless πŸ™

Hello, yes it happens to me too, just take it easy the next day.

Wish I could still do all that. Your aftermath sounds like my new normal. I have given up on Christmas decorations, and my house isn't nearly as tidy and organized as it once was. I did have that experience this autumn when my husband and I went out for a walk in a local park. I went too far, forgetting to factor in the walk back to the car. Almost didn't make it. The next couple of days were more difficult than usual. So I know what you mean. Wish I could see your decorations. I love Christmas decorations! I'm still working full time (at a desk job), and I'm grateful. But maybe one of these years when I get to stay home, I'll get those decorations up.

Welcome to the Ms world. I think we’ve all been to the Busted Biscuit Can world a few times. But the only way out is to stop doing and that is not an option. When you play you pay but if you don’t play that means you give up and in our world we Never Give Up. We won’t allow MS to win.

Just keep playing the game. Lol.

If you are going to overdo it... isn't this a really high quality thing to be doing when you do?

I'm starting to learn about how to make tradeoffs and prioritize a little differently, not the mechanics of it, but the valuation of it.

Yes I've had the same thing happen to me, too. I used to call it "recovery sickness". There are probably fancier names, but, what is universal is that most people have to recover from a really good time. The time that I can spend, now it is so much more valuable than before. So it can definitely be worth two or three sick days following. I still want to do things in life, of course :).
