Finally got the courage to climb w deer stand, with my new safety harness attached that is. I can almost feel normal at least for a little while.

Blessings to you all.

That’s great 😁 to be able to still experience the great times. I loved hunting , the quiet 🤫 serenity and animals. Miss those days, just glad I did it a lot. 🤫👍🤗😁

It felt good. Haven't been able to do much it this year but just enjoying it when and while I can. Did great getting up and down the tree. But I lost count how many times I fell getting to the stand and back. I was skinned and bleeding from head to toes. Just can't walk thru those vines those vines and a sticks with my balance troubles. But Bo broken bones just blood and bruises. Guess I'm gonna have to start hunting from by back porch. Haha.

Doubled51 Glad you were able to get back up in your stand once again! Sorry you had falls and were injured that way. Maybe a walking stick is needed next time you go out to help with your balance.

@bxrmom a walking stick is a good idea. My walking is bad on hard ground then add soft ground leaves abd vines I am in trouble for sure. Plus add the weight of boots and i am in double trouble. I've got 8 more visits with my physical therapist but after 3 months we havent been able to fix my balance so I am not expecting miracles in 8 more visits. Haha.

That is so great Donnie!! A little bit of normalcy goes along way. I got to go fishing with friends on their pontoon boat recently, although we didn't catch anything, we had a great time. I can now drive my husband's little work truck and am loving the freedom it gives me! Did you shoot anything? My grandson, age 14, has been learning to hunt and fish and is doing great. My grand daughter's fiance has become a big brother to him. So far, the grandson has shot a wild boar, with a gun, and got an 80 pound catfish with 1 arrow. They live in SC so I'm happy for him.

I'm paying today but had a great time but didnt see anything but squirrels.

Great to hear your grandson is getting to enjoy the great outdoors. I grew up hunting and fishing and wouldn't trade it for anything.

SC. I live 5 miles from the SC linen Toccoa Ga. The state line is Lake Hartwell. Some of the best fishing in the southeast.

Maybe I need your grandson to come help me with the big old hog I posted last week. Sure make my wife happy.
