Glad that you aren't hurt. Are you using a walker or a cane inside the house?

I have had this MS thing since 1990. I'm 67 now and trust me getting older with this disease can blow your mind! I did all the ABC drugs with the RRMS. Upgraded to Progressive (sounds elegant to be upgraded), and did Tysabri. Stopped due to JC virus positive. I also had Ocrevus in June 2017 stopped due to bad reactions. I just had 3 days of steroid infusions and waiting to feel better. I am still exhausted but am hopeful to wake up tomorrow feeling much better. I am so sorry you fall so often and sincerely hope you didn't hurt yourself. Do you use any assistive devise that can help your balance problems? I believe in prayer and am sending you warm thoughts to feel better. Greetings from your MS pal

Ilia1392 I'm sorry you've had such a rough time! I positively hate solumedrol and all the nasty side effects that come with it. I hope it helps you to feel better very soon!! Good luck! I'm praying for you.

Sggmcswain Oh my gosh Kiddo, you need to stay down for a while and get comfy in the recliner or your bed. Sounds as though a check-up at the Dr. or clinic is due. Perhaps your sister could come help you around the house if she is near-by. Maybe a friend or neighbor could spend some hours during the day with you.. Never be ashamed to ask for help.. Even check into your city or county adult services.. You are too important to be taking any chances. Keep us posted, your MS family cares.

I had horrible mess of falling. Ms attack falling all the time dizzy, not spinning but half way. It was like if I barely tilted head I was falling even with my rollator it lasted about 3 months I still fall but not like how bad it was for a while there. I'm not talking about little falls I was literally falling from rollator into couch 3 feet away trying to get up falling opposite direction into table and chairs. Insane. I am now awaiting my powerchair I've been fitted for. Overall definitely worse balance gait etc after that whole ordeal. I hope you find relief and try not to get up too much. My speech goes the same as your sister described. If your falling with rollator it's time to get a power chair. For safety when you can't hold yourself up.

#Tanyagoeres Someone who understands. Sorry - do you live with someone?

โ€ข in reply toSggmcswain

Yes my husband, my 22yr old son who is never here. It's funny though they tend to disappear the worse I am. Do you have someone?. Do you have a caregiver. I have a caregiver too, it's just inconsistent lately my caregiver s have been cursed with severe health issues.

Actually when I described what was going on to rehab powerchair fitting person she told me she hears that dizziness falling head tilting thing all the time

During those months of horrible falling etc. I accidentally gave myself food poisoning that was bad. Don't do that. I was literally falling to floor from bed resting dragging myself on carpet with arms resting dragging myself to toilet resting pulling myself up on to toilet . The bathroom is only about six feet from my bed and resting isn't really resting if you get what I mean. More like can't move siezure Ms thing. Take care of yourself.

No room as in stairs etc? Are old house was split level. The one we're in now is one level and cubscouts go fund me. built me a ramp and Ms society bought the powerchair hitch carrier ramp for truck. Medicaid paying for power chair. If you have a garage or something to keep chair in you could get one. The one I'm getting is permobile f3 they are skinny sleak design don't take up to much room. Even at old split level house having an old scooter we picked up for $200 was helpful. Although it didn't last since my husband get drunk and other neighbor drunk in power chair crashing into each other broke it.

I also have swollowing issues and half the time stuff tries to go down the wrong pipe. Usually my neck c-2 lesson is flaring hurting when the swollowing choking problems are the worst. I've been with family in tears having the hardest time trying to eat and swollow.i swear it's like half my throat and tongue are numb hard to move food to esophagus rather than wind pipe
