I wonder what this will mean for MS diagnosis and progression determinations?

erash, thanks for always posting such interesting articles. Maybe it will be able to predict disease progression.

I'm excited! Iowa has a machine already.

erash I wonder why it's only approved for the head, arms & legs? Leaves out a bit of the CNS and may limit its usefulness for MS patients.

BillD999 perhaps that's only what it was studied for thus far and approval for spine etc. will come with time? Idk

I thought that too. My lesions are T2-5.

Thanks for posting this erash ! Maybe this will show more disease activity than the current one does. I asked my neuro why my MRI's have been stable but in truth my disease has not. He said because the MRI doesn't show everything so maybe this more powerful one will show more.

Raingrrl i think that's the purpose of the new T7

But yes, my disease progresses and yet no MRI changes (thankfully) X 10 yrs

I wonder if I would b able to get an MRI in one of these machine. the hospital I get mine done in, just got cleared to do MRI's in the T3 machine on people who have a Baclofen pump implanted?

mdok idk but I've not seen any discussions here of anyone with an implantable device and their MRI restrictions. That can certainly be a problem that I hadn't thought about. Have u been able to get any MRIs at all since the pump?
