I haven't had an MRI in a few years but it never felt hot before today got very warm will running. I have a linx implant and I have a burning sensation in my chest and back. Is this my imagination or could the MRI cause burns?

Burning sensation after MRI
I could b the contrast dye You may be allergic to it. The way I found out I was allergic to it my arm swell up and it was burning for several weeks. Now I donβt get it at all. My aunt had a reaction and affected her liver
I didn't get any contrast this time. I have had contrast before had a burning sensation in my face. But went away quickly. Thanks
Has there been a reaction to the magnetic implant, with the mri using magnets? Maybe you should check with your doctor, Blessings Jimeka π¦
I know sounds like it shouldn't be safe but everyone (my doctors) say it's safe . I'm one of those people who have strange symptoms. Most of the time drs look at me like I'm nuts. So I have to fight, I get tired. Should I talk to the doctor that did thei mplant or primary care?
As many of you know I have had a pain pump for over seven years. When I do an MRI I have to call my pain specialist and setup to go by afterwards to check operations on pump? I have had over ten MRIβs thru seven years and itβs been great π. I guess there is a really small chance it will shut off pump? All of the pain or baclofen pumps are setup to restart themselves after 30 minutes ππ. So yes two different pain specialist and six different MRI places and all recommend having pumps checked out afterwards π. As far as any burns or heat during MRI I have never had that symptoms in twenty three years π. I think any side effects should be reported right away! Hope this helps. ππΎπ Ken π
So had tried the surgeon for 2 days . Talked to his office today again finally was told I'd have to come in Monday before he could do anything. Or I could go to ER if I felt uneasy even gave me his cellphone number to have er call him. So bloodwork, x-rays and a radiologist who went home and wasn't coming back to do a barium swallow. Several lectures about how MRIs can't cause burns, so must have killed the magnets in my linx and it's my acid reflux again. I don't remember it ever feeling like this. So totally wasted trip. I'm never going to a ER again. The difference between the way I get treated and anyone I've taken drives me nuts , I'm just not whiny enough. Thanks for letting me vent.
Last year when I went in for an MRI and the nurse told me I'd have to change my pants! I didn't think they were Yoga pants, just stretchy pants. The nurse explained the MRI could set them on fire! That gives a whole new meaning to "hot pants". Anyway. maybe the fabrics you were wearing during your MRI has something to do with the burning sensation you had?
