I've been trying to figure out the whole ramp for entry into my house. A miracle happened. I got on Craigslist looking up ramps and there was a post of cubscouts looking to build ada ramp for someone in need. He came to my home and he has a handful of 4th and 5th graders Cub scouts that are going to come out in a couple weeks and build me a ramp for free because the hardware lumber store donates materials. It is so awesome, God is blessing me. All I have to do is provide a covered worked space (canopy) a bathroom, water, and make lunches, for the kids.
This totally beets asking the MS society to spend $7000 on 32' of ramp. Then I can just ask MS society for help with powerchair carrier for vehicle. Excited
Awesome news. So happy for you. You are absolutely right. God is so good. He never ceases to amaze me with his blessings. Good luck feeding that many 4th and 5th graders. Lol.
That is awesome I received a ramp from a group from my church and I also had the Boy Scouts come over with there parents and put it together. It makes life so good.
I was just looking to see if there were any used ada ramps and his ad cubscouts looking for project for someone disabled who who needed a ramp built showed up. I had searched Craigslist for a ramp once before and no luck but he had just posted his ad that day and I was first to reply.
sorry to hear that. what have you asked for? I know it can be difficult and those online apps dont submit properly. They told me this last time just to get quotes and call them. I still have to get the power chair hitch carrier ramp for transporting the chair. Im praying it works out. Theres MSAA, MSFocus, MS society, maybe moor. I applied for air conditioner one year and they hooked me up, cant remember which organization. also I received a rollator. cooling packs. wish i would have got the vest. like the ankle and wrist ones but the neck and abdominal are retarded they dont really velcro on right. they should invent a cooling hat. its my brain that wont cool down. shower chair, adl tools off amazon sock aid, shoe horn, grabber, hook, weighted silverware to help with tremors.
