Just a small sample of my new view from my back porch. That's why I'm wore out trying to clear the bro are so I can see my trees and see what variety of wildlife. I've seen deer and Turkey but am told we have a few local black bears. I know there are plenty of coyote because they howl every night. I am blessed.

Toccoa Ga. On Ga SC line. We have a epidemic coyote population. They are devastating our deer population in the South East States. Open season on coyote and wild hogs. But I haven't heard of any mountain lions.
I live that: the mind is willing, the body says ha,ha - or you gotta be kidding, or nit today, sweetie pie, or I will show you who is boss (and it's not your brain anymore! I want so badly to finish my garden that my body said ok you gave a few weeks and I worked about 2 hrs a day for a month and suddenly the busy says, that's all, back to bed with you! Such Jones NA likes to play on us!!!
I know what you're talking about. My pharmacy had to special order my modafinil last Wed. Without it I'm totally useless. Hope it comes in today before the eclipse crowd. Our little town is predicted to draw over 70000 people for a 2 min viewing. This is a very small town so it will be crazy
Did you say you are in Georgia? I am in KY, but thankfully not Hopskinville. 100,00 ate camped out inbtgat small town. It's not cloudy, so in 2 1/2 hours it should turn dark here. Trying to get excited but that takes energy too! Lol
Yeah I'm in toccoa ga. Right On Ga SC line. People sure would be dissappointed if it didn't happen wouldn't 5hey. Haha. I'm with you I don't have energy to spare today. I'll watch it On tv.
I was texting a responseand it went "poof" and disappeared mid sentenceToo tired to type again, except to say we live not far from Hopskinvilke JY so it's crazy here. Staying inside except for 2:30 or whenever! We used to go white water rafting on Ocoee River. Somewhere near your area I think. Beautifulcountry. Went camping in those areas in my past life, pre progressed MS. Have a good day!
We are actually about a mile from Lake Hartwell and about 5 miles from the Yonah River which is beautiful. Lake Hartwell level is so low after last year's drought that it dry close to us though. But is truly beautiful country. And I empathize COUNTRY. Lol.
@agapepilgrim "I'm trying to get excited but that takes energy too" π€£ Lol
... and @Doubled51, I hear you about the modafinil. I can't do much of anything really without it. I don't understand why, if we have scripts, the pharmacy runs out. Happens to me too. Sure, I understand they may get new scripts for other people in between our refills, but do they have to cut supply so close? It's very frustrating!
I'll remember next time. This was the 2nd time I filled since the move. The first time they had 2 in stock so I didn't realize they. Cut it so close. Didn't realize that they had to special order. But I won't forget it again. That was the first and last time I run out. It was a long 5 days of exhaustion. Yes it's extremely frustrating when you can hardly make it to the bathroom. Have a blessed day.
Yep!! Auto correct can't read my mind!! And if not so tired I would go back and proof read!! But who has the energy??! I used to be a Proofreader! Yep, how ironic! Hey, news just said Hopkinsville KY is making 30 million from tourists for a 2 min event. I find that sad! Think what that could do for MS research!! Maybe one of us will win the lottery and draw in cash now $320 million!! This world is crazy!
So, agapepilgrim and Doubled51 , how WAS the total eclipse where you are? (We only had 60% eclipse here, so it was very ho-hum!) Were you able to look outside and see that it was very dark?
We were in the direct path for total eclipse. My security lights were on for 20 mins or more. It def was very dark for a couple of mins. My daughter was coming home from work and traffic was unreal at 2 pm. In toccoa on a normal day 4 cars at a stop light is a traffic jam on a normal day. Haha. It was pretty cool. We watched from our yard and was in the best seat in the state and didn't have to leave our front porch. Haha.did have to spend a dollar.
Doubled51 it will be amazing when finished, to have such wildlife is such a blessing. We have quite a few deer that roam around us. They occasionally cause a lot of damage to themselves and the cars when they get hit crossing the road. We have foxes instead of coyotes but fortunately they don't howl at night. Take your time and enjoy π. I hope you and your wife are now making the most of your time together. Blessings Jimeka π¦ π π€
I can't wait to get it cleared out but with our heat and humidity it's slow go. It will be a beautiful view when finished I know. The insurance companies def have a lot of claims to pay because of deer car crashes. We have deer crossing signs everywhere. I had a crash with one years ago. Luckily nobody was hurt but I was driving one of my coolest classic cars. A 1973 chevy nova. Lucky it was made of steel and not plastic so damage was minimal. Can't say that for the deer though. Lol. At least coyote avoid people so they don't pose any threats. After living in a place that was in the top 10 fastest growing counties in the USA I'm in heaven here. Lol. If my body holds out it will be truly amazing. Blessings to you and yours.
I was clearing our fence row so the trees could grow, cedar trees and ornamental pear trees, but then terrible rash and lots of bites and no bug proof works; dermatologist said stay inside. Like someone said - was it you?? - sPiritn willing, body says no way!ππ³πΏπππππ·πππ¦π΄ππππ·πΈπ all around ysπ±ππΆπΈπ£π¦π¦π¦ π¦ππππΏπΎall around us!! I love the country, but thanks to MS I watch from inside now!!
I've cleared out so much brush and briars till my arms legs and hands look like I got in a fight with a weed eater. Everywhere I look I'm bleeding from a different place. Lol. But one of the days God willing I'll be done. But in his time not mine.
