Hi! I am sort of excited! I am getting my AFO today! It is allegedly going to help with my foot drop! I am so excited to see how well it is going to work!!!!!!!! It hopefully will keep me from wearing out my left toe on all my shoes. Not to mention, keep me from falling on my face. Best part is. It is covered 100% We will see what happens. I have a hard time with things on my legs. Especially tight things. I would appreciate prayers that this works. I will keep it posted.

Rob, I can feel your excitement all the way over here in the uk, I hope it works for you and improves your quality of life. I find mine really helps me to peddle my trike, and the main thing is I don't trip. Like you I wear out the toe of my shoe, I go through a pair every month with not wearing the AFO, but I find mine makes me sweat with it being plastic. Let us know how you get on. Rob I hope your AFO works for you. I got one for ft drop a year and a half ago. Mine is a Blue Rocker. Part of it goes under the shoe liner of my shoe. That part helps with more natural gait by helping your push off at the toes. It also helps keep my leg from collapsing forward. that had begun to happen almost daily.
I got! It makes me look like Robo cop! It is carbon fiber. Goes under my shoe liner, kind of wraps half way around my calf ro about mid calf area. Helps hold my foot from dropping and helps spring it back for normal walking. I wore it for a few hours. It is very hard to get used to. Especially stairs. One thing I hate hate hate is when I am sitting down. Unless I am sitting flat footed. I can not make my foot go flat on the floor. So all the weight of my resting leg goes into my heal. It will just take some getting used to!!!!

Hi Guys! So far I have taken two walks today. Holy Moly!!!!!!! This thing is amazing! It keeps my foot up! It keeps my balance. So much easier to enjoy the neighborhood! Walking isn't as much of a chore! I pray it keeps up this way. The only problem is I over heated myself walking so much. Thats my fault. I will suffer for that, but it was worth it! I do have to get used to it around my calf. It gets sweaty and one of my symptoms is I can not handle tight things. So it bugs the crap out of me!!!!!!
