Hi redman44 and welcome to our forum. Betaseron is one of the older MS drugs. I know a lady that has been on it since the initial trials, 30 years I think, and she is still walking and doing good. You can't tell she has MS.

You eventually get used to the idea that you have MS. Some of us still live in denial and try to pretend we don't have it.

Keep a positive attitude on life and this disease and I feel everything will be ok.

redman44 , I pray that it's very effective for you. One of my sweet friends has had MS for about 25 years and doing really well on that very treatment!

I was happy to start treatment for several reasons, but it felt reassuring that I was actively doing something to rein in the disease. Everything we do through diet, exercise, and DMTs is empowering.

Keep us updated on your progress.
