Hello Everyone, Had the immense pleasure of meeting our girl Tutu this morning. I was fortunate that she took time from her travels to join me for a visit. She's an amazing lady and very impressive in all that she does! So nice to chat in person with her and share all the experiences that MS gives to us. Meeting Tutu assures me that we've made friends for a lifetime! Thank you for the lovely gift, Tutu

Iona60 , I know I will be lifelong friends with those I've met through the MSAA. I'm still hoping we can all gather and meet up someday, but until then, I am thankful and feel truly blessed for those I have already met, βΊand for those I will yet meet in person.
This is my year of "new friend blessings." I may have to get a larger jar, as erash described at the start of the year, for my many thanks and blessings.π
WAshingtongirl This is my "new friend year" also. I'm trying to make many connections before I retire and we head up to the mountains. I felt isolated up there last summer. I'll be counting on this group to keep me "socialized".
Great experience to get to know each other in person. Trade MS experiences and knowledge. I think we could of visited for quite a bit longer. What are the odds of 3 complete strangers meeting at a small town coffee shop. When I asked my friend, the owner to take our picture, she said, :|"By the way, this is Juan, he also has MS," so we had to include him in one of our pictures.
Yes, that was unbelievable! Three strangers meeting for the first time, but feeling like instant family. Lynn and I went expecting to meet each other, but what a bonus! We met Juan too!
I'd be rather jealous if it weren't for my getting to meet her tomorrow! I'm just tickled pink to have such a great opportunity! I'm so happy you had the chance to get together!
I had the best morning too. Time flew by as we chatted like old friends. What a blessing this has all been. Thank you again, Erin and Lynn, I've seen some spectacular things along my drive, but nothing as beautiful as you two. π I will never forget this...
I can't wait to meet you, too, greaterexp ! This long drive from CA back to WA is hard-exhausting, but knowing I'm meeting friends along the way makes it an adventure and helps me press on. I am so looking forward to spending time with you this morning! π
How wonderful that the two of you I hope you guys had a great time! CalfeeChick and WAshingtongirl l hope you told Juan about us! Ok you know l had to do a plug for the community!π π π
greaterexp l hope you and Dawn have a great time today!βΊ
Yes, I think we told him about our chat room as that was how we all met. We sort of overwhelmed him by insisting he be in our photos. I posted one just a bit ago. Just can't express how wonderful it was/is to meet someone experiencing all the ups and downs of MS. Personally, I am inspired by Tutu even more now that we've met in person.
I know I could go on and on about these two extraoridary women, but then I'd never leave my hotel room and get back on the road. Suffice it to say that we all must meet one day! I know there'd be lots of hugging, listening, encouragement and laughter. This has been the BEST year so far! π
I thought of you Jesmcd2 as I drove along HWY 101. The coast was socked in with fog until a ways after Santa Barbara. There I caught sight of the rocky shoreline dotted with palm trees. π
I have ridden my bicycle from Santa Cruz to Malibu on Hwys 101 & 1 eight times for a charity fundraiser. Maybe that's why mentally MS has hit me so hard.ππ Last year I went numb 2 weeks before my last tripπ²π²π²
Meeting CalfeeChick in person was the highlight of my day--of my trip home this far, and a hope realized.
I am so thankful for the MSAA and this forum. It's a great place to ask questions, vent, reach out for technical and emotional support, and for me, it has gifted me with so many new friends. I am so thankful for that.
Calfeechick is as warm, giving, and as fun to be with as she comes across here in her posts. What a blessing it was to spend some time together. God willing, I hope to do so again!
And I couldn't believe it--here we were, maybe 6 people in this lovely little coffee shop, and we learn that another person there has MS too! Instant family! we were all hugging on each other. It is a day I will always remember. Thanks, Calfeechick! π΄ π
