Being so blessed with beautiful spring like weather today, I decided to visit my neighbor across the field. On my way out the door I spotted the big bouquet of daffodils I had picked Monday evening and stuck in a $-store glass. I grabbed them and rushed out the door. As I walked up to her door (sloshing water with every step) she met me at the front step with tears in her eyes and thanked me as you would expect to be thanked for a million dollar gift, not a bunch of daffodils (swiped from another neighbor's field). We had a wonderful visit and she even called me later to thank me again. She said that she had been having a rough day and seeing those yellow flowers bobbing up her sidewalk with me smiling behind them had perked her up in a way she wouldn't have believed possible. I guess it's right when people say no kindness is ever too small.

Joys-an21, it's Fancy1959. If we could all slow down a bit and remember to take the time to smile and visit with someone who needs it, like you did, the world would indeed a better place. It's the smallest acts of kindness that cost nothing, but a little time, that often means the most.
joys-an21 i love your story and found myself smiling as I read it. It feels soooo good to do good things for others. Giving is sometimes really a selfish act because it gives back so much 😊
P.S. Daffodils, after tulips are one of my favorite flowers --we don't see them so much in Fla where we have 2 seasons --warm and hot 🌞
joys-an21 your so right about, Sometimes no act of kindness is to small! It can mean so much to someone and you might never even know know it! ☺
Way to go!! 💐 For you!
