Small Miracle

I was strolling around my backyard yesterday and happened on a Monarch butterfly emerging from its chrysalis. I had time to run back in for the camera. It was almost fully emerged, but had to stay there for a few minutes to let its wings dry and antennae separate.

Oh Iona60, what a blessing. I have never experienced that. I plant butterfly seeds and flowers and have loads of caterpillars but have never seen any emerge. What a great way to start the new year. Gods hand is on you, Jimeka

It was so still that at first I thought it was dead. I touched a wing and it fluttered a little, allowing me to see the full color. A blessing of MS, is that it has slowed me down and I now have time to observe my backyard nature.
