Magnesium
Hiya Jbahnan
I was told at 1 point to take magnesium for migraines. But that was from the 1st neuro that only cared about giving me botox for them also :/ Whereas he completely missed the lesions in my brain (1 is an 1 1/2") long . Even l cant miss it looking at my MRI lol
So l dont take them anymore. Maybe out of spite? Idk lol l do remember they were the capsules and the smelled funny and they were really big
Before you take them, ask your PCP and/or neuro about it first.
Let me know what happens
They are huge but can help with sleep, constipation, anxiety, neuropathy, migraines...not that they rid you of all this. I wish!
They smell too lolol erash . Morning
Jesmcd2 good morning Miss Sunshine โ๏ธThey don't smell half as much as my NAC (n acetyl L cysteine) for RLS
erash miss sunshine wayyyy to funny are you kidding me? I do my best writing when lm half asleep Then l have to go back and read what I wrote lol.
And l have never heard of NAC and if it stinks that bad? It would most likely find its way into the garbage hahaha
You made me smile with your FAM reference. ๐
Magnesium oil is good for restless legs, if you rub it on before you go to bed it helps quiet the legs down, and the skin absorbs it so it works quicker than waiting for a tablet to be absorbed by the stomach. Like Tutu I like your FAM, ditto Jimeka
Take magnesium glycinate 600mg/day which is supposed to be better absorbed.
My doctor put me on magnesium because of bone loss, it helps the calcium to better absorb or something. It can help with constipation. Big pill but, so far, I have no problem taking it.
My naturopathic MD told me to use Magnesium L-Threonate, Neuro-Mag 144 mg 3 caps a day. It crosses the blood brain barrier and enhances memory and cognitive function. Of course check with your neurologist. I ordered it online from LifeExtension.
My PCP encouraged me to take mag glycinate long before I had MS, primarily for migraine prevention. My neurologist encouraged me to stay on it. Both feel the glycinate version is much better absorbed than the usual, albeit cheaper formulas.
Hi. magnesium is excellent, works in every cell in your body, muscle and brain. Its perfect to prevent or release cramps, headaches and better brain function. I read recently that is been considered now the new "vitD", it means it is necessary to take to prevent and help to stabilize diseases. Most people have low Magnesium because of excessive calcium intake and our food does not supply enough magnesium neigther the soil. Also the natural salt is taken out of magnesium for do not absorb moisture. Magnesium helps neurological function, transmission and muscle contraction, etc.
I take magnesium glicinato, i know the theonato is better absortion, also the magnesium malate optimizer with taurine from Jarrow, which is excellent trust brand. I use Magnesium for over 8 years and it is great to cut migraine headache. I use twice daily morning and night time together with sleep pills, helps to relax and works in the brain during my sleep.
Jbhnan, I have used magnesium powder for a long time, but I had to quit. It can cause extreme diarrhea if too much is taken. One has to expieriment with it.
