Flexaril

I use magnesium gel on my feet and legs and it prevents the awful muscle cramps and contortions in the muscles in my feet. I take oral magnesium too because it's a very important electrolyte. But the gel works in 2 or 3 minutes.

Msjem, I used to take diazapam until I was told by my Dr. that after 65 (I'm almost 75) I couldn't continue with it & I was switched to Lorazepam. Seems to give the same relief & helps me get to sleep. Still also take 40 mg. of Baclofen & have for 27 years. A few others, such as Neurontin, Zanaflex & always Calcium +D, which I take twice a day to relieve cramps. Whew! More than you asked for, but I seem to get diarrhea of the fingers, which is why I try not to access this informative group more than twice a week. You're welcome - LOL ~ Bea

Thanks Bea! Interesting. I am 63 so I will have to find out if my Dr. has the same view.
