Baclofen pump

I had my refill Thursday. Had my pump turned up. Again. It's at 725mcg a day. This is only my first pump. I can't go up much more. I'm 43. Hopefully the need to increase stops. A need to decrease would be great and more than likely welcomed.

I hope that once your body gets used to having the pump your medication will be able to decrease, Blessings Jimeka 🍫

Yeah. I think that's right. Dr was saying that it won't be of much benefit to go much higher.

? At .725 you are at 35 percent of maximum ? I am certainly not a doctor but seems like you have lots of room to up it ? I could be wrong but makes me think about percentage? Ken 🐾🐾

I think my dr works off percentages also and once he hits 50% it's all downhill from there. I'm not that way. I could be the one that defies the odds.

I have a quick question for you. What does the Baclofen do for your symptoms? I was on tablets for a year with no benefit. My doc never said anything about infusion doses.

The Baclofen pump is implanted into your gut with a catheter to your spine. Major benefit is the medicine doesn't have to travel throughout the body. The baclofen pump is a "last resort" "last ditch effort" it's only considered when several oral medicines have failed. My results with the pump has been good. No spasms at all when the pump is set properly and some tightness of the muscles when it needs adjusted.

Thank you for the info.
