Now feeling really crappy. Had a dental appointment this afternoon - check up and S&P. Pointed out a lump I have on my jaw and now another referral to another specialist at another hospital.
But I digress.
Came home from dentist feeling cold and shivering. Realised this is not the effects of the virus I have been fighting off for the best part of the two weeks but something new and, well, not very exciting.
I think I now have sunburn/heatstroke. Definitely got large patches of red skin over legs, chest and I can see tell tale spots appearing on the backs of my hands as I write this. Classic PLE.
I feel I'm running a temperature. I'm so cold, wrapped in a blanked on the sofa, although the wine is helping to improve my mood
I don't know I can do four weeks of this

I dont know about modern PLE. I had mine around 15 years ago. It meant taking special tabs. I had to apply coconut ointment to the psoriasis. I had to oil my skin. I had to wear sunglasses before I left the house for the rest of the day. The first visit was for a few seconds gradually increasing to 20 minutes over the weeks. Tedious.
I dont know anything about modern PLE could you look it up on the web or ring the clinic.
Certainly I think you could contact your surgery for advice. Get well soon, - love Annie80x
Thanks Annie. I shall discuss the effects on Monday with the nurse when I go back for my second session. The idea of the light therapy is to "harden up" the skin so I hope that the ill-effects I had last night will lessen after each treatment.
How have you been in the last 15 years, Annie? Has your condition improved? Do you still have to oil your skin? I haven't been advised to wear sunglasses but then it's pretty chilly, overcast and miserable where I am in the UK. At least it's not snowing! Love Pam x
