What's this blog all about? Essentially, it is a place where you can write about things, anything relating to how your skin disease affects your life or those around you, how your treatment is going, your feelings, your hopes.

It can be as long or short as you like, and remember, your blog could be a huge help or an inspiration to someone else in a similar situation, so feel free to share ideas too!

That’s it. Now go blog so we can read and comment!

I have suffered eczema all my life & now being 63 have found many ways to manage it effectively.

One of the things i have discovered is you need to use your creams/ medication straight away when needed.

My eczema was very bad as a child, slightly better as a teenager & once i had visited a dermatologist at 16, it improved a lot & i have been able to manage it ever since.

I also have allergies which in spite of many hospital visits (& tests) they have not discovered all of the things i am allergic to but i now understand things better.

I always have a very bad rash on my the back of upper thighs when i go on holiday, but now i cover my legs up when sitting on outside chairs & it seems to stop it. i must be allergic to holidays !!!!

My message is dont give up, especially if you are young & suffering. It does change as you get older. Also if you suffer unkind remarks at school etc., it does get better & one day like me you may be referred to as an ugly duckling who turned into a beautiful swan (by a boy at my old school)
