Dear lynstone60,

I'm sorry but I know little, or nothing, about your Condition- except what I have read. It 'sounds' Horrible especially if, as The Literature Suggests, it affects the more sensitive areas of your body. I had a Friend, some years back- not quite a Girlfriend but definitely More than a Mate- who used to have Psoriasis all over. VERY Uncomfortable it was, for her, too!

Beyond Creams/ Emollients/ Ointments and so on and, of course, the Advice/ Guidance of your Doctors/ Consultants, I can only offer you Moral Support. Which I am, more than, happy to do Lyne.

My Conditions are Vasculitis, affecting my Heart, Kidneys (I had a Kidney Transplant Almost ten years Ago Now (in July 2013)) am borderline for Rheumatoid Arthritis, have- thankfully asymptomatic- Heart Failure and now Diabetes..... NOT However your Condition! (I also have a 'Range' of Other Conditions, many as a result of the Immune Suppression.)

So, as you can See, I'm probably NOT the 'right' person, for you babe, however if you DO want a 'Pen Friend', on these pages, then I am 'Happy' to Talk to you..... and, of course, Listen. Sending you my.....

Very Best Wishes

I am an elderly woman and I have Lichen Sclerosis in my intimate parts.

Dermovate used long term when necessary - otherwise Cetraben ointment (greasy) every day- Heat and stress seem to make it worse!

Hope to be of some help to you ?

yes, I have this and happy to chat to you. I am 76. It is an awful condition. I also have Dermovate in the ointment form. I think it absorbs better than the cream. I have read loads and searched for any societies that I could join. Think there is one on Facebook but don’t use Facebook.

It’s not good when you get a flare up but I think stress is a main factor along with heat/ tight clothing.

Would be happy to be an LS Buddy with you

Hey, I am Amanda and 50yrs . I get it all over my body, from my groin to my face. I am currently at the best it has been in 3 years. The only thing that stops the pain for me is Emla 5% (lidocaine/prilocaine) I cannot live without this stuff, as so so painful. I was diagnosed with lichen planis at the time , I had it from my groin into my ladies area, my legs, face and mouth. I also am.in my menopause. I also have M.E. ( auto-ammune)
