Allergic reaction

Hi guys I’m saeeda. My little nephew suddenly came out with red marks on his chin then an hour later they were all over his bak so his parents took him to primary care where it's spread all over his body. He's acting fine but none of us can figure out why n how that has happened. He's only 1 year old 😞

Probably something he ate. Use an elimination diet. Look at what he'd eaten that day, then the day before and start with those foods.

We've done that and baby think of anything different to what he usually ate

Hi SID123. What do the red marks look like? Maybe he has measles. Can you post a picture?

Red marks all over the body could mean something serious. Did this baby have a complete exam and complete blood tests?

Hi ShootinStars he was taken to the hospital and they did some test after test and the they all spent hours there. Finally they were told that something caused his exzema to flare up

If eczema then one of two things.

1. Something eaten (could be something usually eaten and now not tolerating, or could be an additional ingredient no-one is aware of) Elimination diets are extremely tricky especially in a delayed reaction. Add to this that there is a cumulative effect in some conditions which means the food could be what filled the bucket, but on a day where there's a lesser reaction, one may get by consuming that food with little to no understood effect.

2. Something on the outside. Ie environmental. Triggers are mold, bacteria, virus.

So look at foods, then what his skin and respiratory tract are exposed to. Is there any water damage in the home? Any visible mold? Are there carpets? Were they ever wet, even briefly? Any leaking sinks etc? Was he taken somewhere that he may have been exposed like this for even a few hours?
