Help.. anxious..

I’ve had a bump on my chest very very tiny skin bump for about a year. Not itchy doesn’t bother me at all. A couple months ago I scratched it off on accident and it came back. Tonight again I scratch it off by total accident. I’ve been freaking myself out thinking it’s skin cancer specifically basal cell carcinoma as you can tell I’ve been googling like crazy. I know not good at all. I’m not the type to stay out in the sun or even tan.. so I’m a little confused as to what it could be. I know I need to make a doc appt to ease my mind but just thought I’d give this a try again.

There are probably other things it could be but worth a trip to GP to get some kind of resolution.

Hi Anxious - Please know that since we are not medical (well, not most of us anyway), we can't really advise you. I would suggest though two things: 1) if it IS a carcinoma, finding and getting it removed now rather than later is better, and 2) anxiety can lead to a lot of unintended consequences. Please go to the doc now, and set your mind at ease, or get it removed and let them take a look at you. We care, so let us know what they say?
