Sunburn caused by antibiotic ciprofloxacin

I recently was prescribed antibiotic ciprofloxacin without any obvious warnings and got slightly sunburnt on my arms and neck. It appears there was a warning on the general leaflet inside to avoid direct sunlight as the drug can make the skin super sensitive. I stopped using that drug and I have been using a skin cream prescribed since. As it is now 15 days and no sign of any improvement to the redness soreness etc I wonder if anyone else has had this experience and what treatments there might be and the long term outcome might be.
