Hi, does anyone suffer with the above? I've had 22 uv light treatments now and it's not making it any better at all, in fact it's worse. They have said my next step is to go onto Ciclosporin. Has anyone got any advice? X

Hi Aims29,

I don't have your condition, but information on treatment options is available @ patient.co.uk/doctor/pompho...

Severe cases of pompholyx are sometimes treated with methotrexate, azathioprine, mycophenolate mofetil or ciclosporin.

Hopefully, someone with your condition can provide further help.

Shell.

Good luck with cyclosporin or other treatment.....pompholyx is awful, about 10 years ago I had it all across both palms and eventually changed from using Persil non bio to Fairy non bio washing powder. Hands cleared up after two lots of washing. More recently I have had little patches on soles of both feet and occasionally on fingers around cuticles. I was given Fucibet to treat a red weepy patch on sole of right foot so now I use it v sparingly on any patches and it does clear then up......

I've had mine for 2 years now, it doesn't seem to be going anywhere, I use gloves a lot to protect my hands and they are much better than they were but my foot is just unbearable... Glad yours is improving x

Hi, I suddenly came out in this just before xmas and couldn't get a dr appointment for 2 1/2wks, I was in agony, it took 2wks to get rid of it with the cream I was given 2wks later and it was back, more cream, the thing is now my hands are so dry and nothing seems to help and it's starting to appear on the side of my hand now, it's so sore and really getting me down.
