I’m guessing you’re referring to sexual orientation OCD? OCD attacks something in a person’s life that they value very much but haven’t accepted uncertainty about. OCD is OCD though , no matter what the theme is. The sexual orientation theme is a common one but unfortunately carries a stigma to it by people who don’t understand that it’s OCD or by people with certain religious views. ERP is the gold standard treatment for OCD and it has evolved to include things such as ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy) and mindfulness. Treatment is custom-fitted to the individual, not a particular theme. You are not alone in this theme. I hope you are able to give yourself some self-compassion because you deserve it.

It's very scary for me. I am married to the best husband. And I unfortunately was aroused by things I wish I wouldn't have been. Never had feelings for women though, ever. I'm just beside myself. Im not a homophobe of anything as my BFF is a lesbian. But this is pure torture ro say the least.

I definitely understand the torture part with OCD thoughts. Thoughts don’t equal actions. We with OCD often attach meaning to the thoughts while someone else without OCD may have the same thought but doesn’t attach meaning to it and is able to let it go. Physical arousal may happen anyway because of the way physical arousal works. It doesn’t say anything about you personally, it’s just biology.
