OCD treatment is expensive, but here are some things you can look into:

1) Do they take my insurance? If not, can I get reimbursed with an out of network provider?

2) Look into your/a Flexible Savings Account.

3) Do they take medicaid/medicare?

4) Do they offer a sliding scale fee?

5) Try getting treatment through a student trainee.

6) Try a treatment group, they're often cheaper

7) Try attending a GOAL support group.

8) Join a research study.

A lot of mental health providers don’t take Medicare unless they are a part of a large organization, it’s frustrating.

I know Medicaid is really good for covering medical bills and therapy/drs visits. You might have to have a specific insurance under Medicaid, but all of my prescriptions, GP visits and psychiatry/therapy appts. are covered 100%.

Note: I am on CareSource insurance under Medicaid- VERY GOOD to have.

There are other types of insurance plans under Medicaid, also. If you are considered low-income by them or have no way to pay for your medical bills, it's a good thing to check out.
