Yes it can be a compulsion. Not for this site but I have found that I feel I use other ocd sites in such a way. I have had to step away from some of these for that reason. Bur sites like this can also be incredibly helpful to find answers or just when it feels like I am the only person suffering in the way I am. It is a careful balance, just like talking about what’s bothering us vs seeking reassurance. Good luck.

I find I just have to be aware of why I'm looking at it. For instance, if it comes in my inbox and I feel like seeing what is posted, I don't consider that a compulsion. I find it helpful to feel like part of a community and knowing that I'm not alone in this. However, if I find myself wanting to check the site after say doing an exposure or at an abnormal time for me, I know that is most likely entering compulsion territory so I stay away.
