Oximeter Readings

What numbers do MSA patients typically get on Oximeter at night and during the day. I’ve been getting a lot of 94-95 readings. Thoughts?

Jackie’s readings used to be all over the place. Often low in the morning (95) and then lifting as the day went on to maybe 98/99

We used to record oximeter and blood pressure 3/4 times a day to try and see a trend.

The main thing we were trying to combat was the periods of tiredness and her fainting due to low blood pressure.

Take care, Ian x

Hi

I monitor my Sue regularly to look out for chest infections. My rule of worry is 90/90 which means if her pulse is above 90 and her O2 is below 90 then something is wrong.

Her normal rates are 95/99 for oxygen.

Have a chat with you GP to ask what they feel is out of the norm and requires intervention as we are all different.
