have just read this and wondering if it would help with MSA?

Not likely. We've had the pump in the US for several years with mixed results. Since Levodopa is ineffective for many MSA suffers and loses its effectiveness for some, it's not likely that a pump system would be used. It is costly and invasive compared to pills.

It seems unlikely since Parkinsons medication isn't particularly effective on MSA suffers, and this is just Parkinsons medication in a different form.

Hi esj20,

We have tried Duodopa (the forerunner to this) in people with MSA in the past and sadly there has been no benefit shown.

Duodopa and Produodopa are not currently licenced in the UK for the treatment of MSA.
